The conference is based on the seven Outreach Competencies developed by the Center for HIV, Hepatitis, and Addiction Training and Technology (CHHATT). The Seven Competencies are:

Competency 1 - Understanding Outreach and Outreach in a Scientific Context
Competency 2 - Understanding Chemical Dependency
Competency 3 - Understanding Disease and Wellness in the Context of Drug Use
Competency 4 - Engagement
Competency 5 - Intervention
Competency 6 - Client Support
Competency 7 - Supporting Ourselves

Attendees will find this an informative and interactive forum providing the most up-to-date information and techniques available in the field.

Contact hours are provided through The Danya Institute/Central East ATTC, a NAADAC approved education provider; approval is pending from the National Association of Social Workers; as well as through the National ATTC office who are recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors (BCBB) to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. National Office adheres to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines.

We have invited leading authorities who will speak on topics on addiction and co-infection with HIV and Hepatitis, rapid-testing, Buprenorphine, and improving efforts in working with hard-to reach and special populations, and much more.
